Unite for Troops
This year, the Lone Star Cougar Club once again chose to support the Unite for Troops organization. Together with Cindy Porter of Porter's Army Navy Store in Irving, the Lone Star Cougar Club gave thanks to our women and men in uniform over seas. Unite For Troops sends care packages to the troops with items that may make their lives a little easier and days a little brighter. Items such as letters, beef jerky, snacks, lip balm, foot powder, and Christmas ornaments are included in these packages. The Lone Star Cougar Club provided a check for $500 to help cover cost of shipping these care packages to our troops. It's our way of showing our appreciation to them and their families for the sacrifices they make for us each and every day.

Retroblast

We had 4 cars show up at "Retroblast" in Bridgeport. Dwain and Sandy, Barry and Connie, Kendall, and Pam and myself. Dwain won the '70's class with his newly acquired '73 vert. This is a nice show for the entire family in a fabulous venue. Yesterday's was built to cater to the classic crowd. The Cougars got alot of attention all day. One man remarked that he had never seen that may Cougars in one place before. The owner had reserved premier spots for the Cougars which we really appreciated. We all know that Cougars usually don't get alot of attention but they certainly got it at Yesterday's. I am enclosing a few pics of the event. If y'all want to take a short day trip or due a cruise I would really recommend Yesterday's.
